When Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) sees a boy trapped in a burning building, she rushes in to save him—but she becomes a victim when the smoke aggravates the lung condition she developed in “Smoke Gets in Your CSIs”. Calleigh ends up in the hospital, and the rest of the team rushes to her side when her future looks bleak. Being trapped between life and death leaves Calleigh in a precarious position—but she may be able to help solve their case by communicating with the dead boy she was trying to save in the burning house.
