Miller Supports Diversity On And Off Screen
1 min readCSI: Miami actor Omar Miller (Walter Simmons) stars in the current film Blood Done Sign My Name, which is based on the true story of racial injustice in a small town in North Carolina during the 1970s. The actor and his family moved to Orange County, California in the 1980s, and “we were the only black family on the block,” Miller told USA Weekend. Now that he’s an adult, diversity plays a role in “every decision that I make in my work and how I am as a person. That’s why I really think that people take to me on the screen. I’m not glamorous. I don’t look like a movie star per se. I look like a regular person who they may know.”
