Sinise ‘Concerned And Helpful’ With Wounded Soldiers
1 min readVascular surgeon Dr Vincent J Bertin spent 17 days at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany during November, where he volunteered to take a spot on the surgery rotation at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Bertin treated soldiers and Marines who had been injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. During his stint in Germany, the surgeon met CSI: New York‘s leading man Gary Sinise (Mac Taylor) during the actor’s latest trip to show his support for American service members. “Lots of people (entertainers) come through the USO part, but he is one of the very few that come into the intensive care unit,” Bertin said. “He was very concerned and helpful with the injured soldiers.”
