‘Hostile Takeover’, ‘Blacklist (Featuring Hangman)’ & ‘Ghost Town’ Official Details

The second week of the new season offers three fresh episodes of CSI, including a hostage situation, a cyber killer and murder in an upscale neighborhood. Official plot details and cast lists after the jump.

Starting out the week on Monday at 10:00pm ET/PT, CSI: Miami welcome a new team member in “Hostile Takeover”:

When the lab is attacked, Horatio must fulfill a gunman’s unique request in order to save five hostages, including new CSI Jesse Cardoza.

Allison Liddi directed the season seven episode “Chip/Tuck”. Writing duo Corey Evett and Matt Partney have penned eight episodes of Miami, most recently last season’s penultimate episode “Dissolved”.

Eddie Cibrian joins the team as Jesse Cardoza, who was first seen in the flashback portion of the season premiere, “Out of Time”. David Lee Smith and Wes Ramsey are reprising established recurring roles. Latarsha Rose appeared in the CSI: New York episode “American Dreamers” during the show’s first season. Robert Gant has appeared on CSI: NY (“Green Piece”) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (“Empty Eyes”). Rick Hoffman has previously guest-starred on all three series: “Bait” from Miami‘s second season, “Manhattan Manhunt” from the second season of New York and the CSI episode “Cockroaches” from season eight. The other actors are new to the franchise.

On Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT, CSI: New York will give a glimpse at one member’s past in “Blacklist (Featuring Hangman)”:

The case of a cyber killer, who appears to be targeting medical healthcare workers, turns personal when the suspect invokes the name of Mac’s father who had died nearly two decades earlier.

This is the sixth time Duane Clark has directed for CSI: NY. His most recent credit was for last season’s “Grounds for Deception”. Executive producer Peter Lenkov wrote this episode, which is his nineteeth credit for the show. The last episode he wrote was the season five finale, “Pay Up”.

Greg Germann was in the CSI episode “The Descent of Man” last season. Dameon Clarke appeared in “Deep Fried and Minty Fresh” during CSI‘s ninth season as well as “The Score” during Miami‘s fourth season. Boo Arnold was in the Miami episode “Dead Air” during season four. Andre Royo appeared in “Vengeance” during Miami‘s third season. Gail O’Grady guest-starred in “And How Does That Make You Kill?” during the seventh season of Miami and “The Case of the Cross-Dressing Carp” during CSI‘s eighth season.

Rounding out the week on Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation continues its tenth season with “Ghost Town”:

When a porn producer and drug dealer are found dead in a relatively upscale Vegas area, the CSIs focus their investigation on members of the neighborhood.

Alec Smight has directed nine previous episodes of CSI, including last season’s “The Gone Dead Train”. The story for the episode was written by Dustin Lee Abraham and executive producer Carol Mendelsohn. This is Mendelsohn’s forty-eighth writing credit for the show. Her most recent episode was “One to Go”. Abraham, who also wrote the teleplay for “Ghost Town”, has penned 20 previous episodes, including the show’s 200th entry, “Mascara”.

“Ghost Town” will feature the following guest stars:

  • Marc Vann as Conrad Ecklie
  • Larry Sullivan as Officer Akers
  • Brian Howe as Harvey Wincroft
  • Cheryl White as Mrs. Faith Mason

Jorja Fox and Marc Vann are reprising established roles on the show. Larry Sullivan is back as Officer Akers, and Larry Mitchell is returning as Officer Mitchell. Cheryl White was in “Identity Crisis” during season two, and Rebecca Boyd was in “Got Murder?” during the third season. Brian Howe was in the CSI episode “Face Lift” and the Miami episode “Nothing to Lose”. Devon Graye was in “Wrecking Crew” during Miami‘s seventh season.

“Hostile Takeover”, “Blacklist (Featuring Hangman)” and “Ghost Town” begin airing September 28 on CBS.
