Avery and her team investigate the murder of a woman whose electronic devices indicate that she was alive for three days after her official time of death.
Former CSI: New York Supervising Producer Rob Bailey directed the episode, which marks his first credit for Cyber; he previously helmed 27 episodes of New York (“Late Admissions”) and two episodes of CSI (“No Humans Involved”). “The Evil Twin” was written by Executive Producer/Showrunner Pam Veasey, who also penned the second episode of the season, “CMND:\Crash”.

Heather McComb previously guest-starred on CSI (“Spark of Life”), CSI: Miami (“A Horrible Mind”) and CSI: NY (“Bad Beat”). Justin Bruening was in the Miami episode “CSI: My Nanny” during the show’s sixth season, and he also appeared in “Air Apparent” during the eighth season of New York. The other actors are new to the franchise.
On Saturday night, CBS will air a repeat of the CSI episode “Dead Rails” at 8:00pm ET/PT, followed by a repeat of the NCIS: LA episode “Reign Fall” at 9:00pm ET/PT.
