“The Twin Paradox” was directed by Producer Phil Conserva. He helmed three previous episodes of CSI, most recently “Long Road Home” during season fourteen. Co-Executive Producer Christopher Barbour penned the episode, which marks his nineteenth writing credit for the show. His previous episodes include the season 15 premiere, “The CSI Effect”.

Larry Mitchell returns as Officer Mitchell. Mark Valley, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Rob Nagle first introduced their characters in “The CSI Effect”. Patricia Arquette reprises her role as Avery Ryan, the head of the FBI’s Cyber Crime Division (and the lead of the upcoming spinoff, CSI: Cyber), who was first seen in the penultimate episode of season 14, “Kitty”. Anadel Baughn previously played a convenience store clerk in season nine’s “Let It Bleed”. Andrea Bogart has appeared on CSI: New York (“Not What It Looks Like”) and CSI: Miami (“Mommie Deadest”). Tina Huang was in the CSI: NY episode “Vacation Getaway” during the show’s sixth season. The other actors are new to the franchise.
