Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer) is joining the cast of Criminal Minds this fall, where she’ll play “seasoned undercover agent” Kate Callahan. The character replaces Alex Blake (Jeanne Tripplehorn), who left the BAU team at the end of season nine. Hewitt will make her first appearance in the season ten premiere on Wednesday, October 1 at 9:00pm ET/PT. Here’s a quote from executive producer Erica Messer:

We’re thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Jennifer Love Hewitt to our amazing cast. Many of us on the show have enjoyed working with her over the years and look forward to again. We have exciting storylines planned for her character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 10th season.

You can find more Minds news after the jump, along with news, interviews, tweets and photos for NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Los Angeles that have been shared over the past two weeks. (Includes 34 embedded videos, images and tweets.)

Criminal Minds

Suburban Gothic, starring Matthew Gray Gubler (Dr Spencer Reid), will premiere at the 18th annual Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Quebec later this month. Here’s the description from Bloody Disgusting, which also has exclusive images from the movie:

Raymond has a prestigious MBA, but he can’t find work. He can channel the paranormal, but chatting with a cute girl mystifies him. Kicked out of his big city apartment, Raymond returns home to his overbearing mother, ex-jock father, and beer-bellied classmates. But when a vengeful ghost terrorizes the small town, the city-boy recruits Becca, a badass local bartender, to solve the mystery of the spirit threatening everyone’s lives.

NCIS

Rocky Carroll (Leon Vance) spoke to New England Golf Monthly in June, and you can check out an excerpt below that mentions Carroll’s costar Mark Harmon (Leroy Jethro Gibbs):

NEGM: In 2008, you rejoined Mark Harmon in “NCIS” after co-starring with him earlier in “Chicago Hope.” What’s it like working with him?

RC: Just great! I feel very fortunate that Mark and I have reunited and are working together again. In my business, where there are so many different career paths, it’s rare to get such a chance. I have been with CBS now for 20 years. The network has always tried to build and solidify successful relationships and has had a lot to do with why Mark and I are together again. I give a lot of credit to CBS for being diligent in creating a sense of family and belonging.

Here’s a tweet from Michael Weatherly (Tony DiNozzo):

Pauley Perrette (Abby Sicuto) attended the 5th Annual Thirst Gala on June 24 benefiting the Thirst Project. Here are some photos from the event:

NCIS: NOLA

CCH Pounder (Dr Loretta Wade) is now on Twitter—here’s her first tweet:

Executive Producer Jeffrey Lieber spoke to Screenwriter’s Utopia, and here’s an excerpt about New Orleans:

Are you more of a showrunner now? Do you still write a lot?

Yes, I am writing. Gary Glasberg, my partner in writing the NCIS, wrote episode one and I wrote episode two. I will probably write three episodes this season if we go all 22 or 24, so yes I absolutely still write.

NCIS: LA

Here’s a question from TV Line:

It was said at the beginning of Season 5 that NCIS: LA would be losing a team member. Is that still going to happen? –Meghan

Oh, the Internet. Just one big game of “Telephone,” isn’t it? The team member that was “lost” was Kensi, when she got pulled from the L.A. team and sent to Afghanistan. Mystery solved!

Extra visited the set of NCIS: LA, and you can watch a video below featuring Chris O’Donnell (G Callen), LL Cool J (Sam Hanna), Daniela Ruah (Kensi Blye) and Eric Christian Olsen (Marty Deeks). (It’s also available here.)

You can read O’Donnell’s full interview with Live Happy magazine on NCIS Los Angeles Online, and check out a video of the cover shoot below:

Broadway Box did an interview with Barrett Foa (Eric Beale), which focuses on his current Off-Broadway production, Buyer & Cellar. Here’s an excerpt that mentions NCIS: LA:

5. What’s your best “only at Comic Con” story?

The second year I went, I had just thrown my back out and I thought I couldn’t go. Then I thought about how much fun last year was, so I said, “All right, I’m going to pop pain pills and get on the train to San Diego and hobble around Comic Con.” But then there was this huge panel with me, LL Cool J, Chris O’Donnell and the showrunner, and there’s me answering questions high as a kite. I don’t know what I said or if I made any sense. I was laughing a lot. It was pretty loopy.

You can also watch an interview with Foa on PIX11.

O’Donnell sat down with AOL On, and you can watch the interview here, including a prank he played on LL Cool J.

Ruah spoke to Só Visto!, and you can find the interview (in Portuguese) here (starts at 33:55). You can also check out several photos below:

  1. Good God, NO! It is obvious that the fanboys and fangirls who couldn’t shut up about how they miss Emily and hate Blake would rather have some young cast member join the team. Jennifer Love Hewitt??? Seriously?? How about hire Elle Fanning to replace Erin Strauss while you’re at it?? Jen should just stick to talking about her boobs and vagazzling shit since that’s all that she’s ever molded to be about. This show is gonna tank! But then again, it already has since Gideon left! Rossi is too paternal for my tastes. I MISS DISTANT GIDEON! ENOUGH WITH THE PERSONAL LIFE MEDDLING SHIT ALREADY!!!
