‘CSI’ Searches For A Missing Family In ‘Uninvited’
2 min readThe CSIs investigate the disappearance of four people who haven’t been seen in a month, in the eighteenth episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s fourteenth season. (Major spoilers after the jump!)
According to CSI Files sources, “Uninvited” opens in an unremarkable suburban neighborhood, where the Connor family is having dinner. Claire watches TV on the couch with the dog at her feet, while her husband Dwight sits at the table with his laptop and a glass of wine. Sixteen-year-old Heather is focused on her phone, ignoring her food, while her older brother Ethan eyes the time on his own phone while he eats quickly. Someone stands outside, watching through the window as mother, father, son and daughter eat their meal separately despite being in the same house.
One month later, a little girl heads up to the Connors’ front porch to sell candy for a fundraiser. When no one answers the door, she peeks through the front window and screams. There’s a man on the ground, lying in a pool of blood. The police rush to the scene, and the man in the house is taken away in an ambulance. Doug Adamson is still alive, but he fell and hit his head on the edge of the bar in the kitchen. Despite the fact that he’s going to be okay, the CSIs are called to the scene. No one has seen the Connors in a month, and the house is nearly empty. The furniture is gone, but the family photos are still hanging on the wall—they didn’t move out, so where are they?
Finn looks closely at the spot where Doug fell, and she finds blood drops from a different event. She also finds blood spatter near the fireplace, and Nick notices cast-off on the ceiling. Finn sprays luminol all over the living room, and she finds a lot of blood. Something bad happened here, and bloody drag marks on the carpet let them know they are looking for at least one body.
