Harnois Discusses Her Role In Tonight’s ‘CSI’ Finale
2 min readTonight’s season 13 finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, “Skin in the Game”, finds Morgan Brody (Elisabeth Harnois) in a perilous situation. (Spoilers after the jump!)
As CSI Files previously reported, a member of the team will go undercover during “Skin in the Game”, and Harnois has revealed that she’s the one taking on the dangerous job. “The case is basically that hookers are turning up dead and the one thing they have in common is this reformatory church sort of thing where the guy who runs it is this Pastor,” the actress told TV Fanatic. Eric Roberts plays the pastor in question, Brother Daniel, and he claims to be helping former working girls turn their lives around. Morgan goes undercover to figure out what has been happening to these missing women.
“[I]t’s a big decision for my character to do this because it’s a very dangerous undercover job and there is a very personal reason as to why she feels very strongly that she shouldn’t,” Harnois explained. Going undercover creates some tension between Morgan and her father, Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann). The relationship between father and daughter has developed nicely over the course of season 13, but as the season draws to a close, “we’re taken to another place that threatens her relationship and it’s partially due to the fact that Morgan feels so strongly about father/daughter relationships now that she has one but also that she feels that she got to have something that she wants these other women to have.”
Morgan has had some memorable scenes with her father during season 13, and there have been hints of flirtation between her and a few other members of the team. Heading into season 14, Harnois hopes she can have more scenes with fellow female castmates Elisabeth Shue (Julie Finlay) and Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle). “I had a little bit with Jorja and I had a little bit with Lisa but I would love for us girls to have to band together for a really cool power girl episode,” she revealed. She added, “We’ve all said that we would love to have that kind of an episode for the three of us because we all really like each other and we’re all very opinionated strong women.”
