Harper Exits ‘CSI: NY’
1 min readAfter nine seasons of playing Dr Sheldon Hawkes, Hill Harper is exiting CSI: NY. Once again on the bubble for renewal, Harper’s contract was up at the end of the current season and the actor is moving on to USA Network’s Covert Affairs as a series regular. Harper first appeared in the backdoor pilot back in CSI: Miami‘s second season as a New York medical examiner and became a full-fledged CSI in the show’s second season. His last episode will air tonight, which is also potentially the series’ last.
This mark’s the third major exit during the show’s run–Vanessa Ferlito left in Season Two and former leading lady Melina Kanakaredes departed at the end of Season Six.
