CSI doesn’t return until next week, but CSI: NY airs a new episode this week featuring the death of an off-duty officer. Official plot details and cast list can be found after the jump.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will not air on Wednesday. Instead, CBS will air the People’s Choice Awards live from 9:00-11:00pm ET.

On Friday, CSI: New York investigates the death of a cop in “Civilized Lies” at 9:00pm ET/PT:

When a beloved off-duty NYPD officer perishes in a robbery, the CSIs use the art of interrogation to break down their suspects and get to the truth.

Jerry Levine previously directed “Flash Pop” during season eight. Co-Executive Producer John Dove has penned 19 previous episodes of the crime drama, including “Misconceptions” from earlier this season.

Natalie Martinez is back as Jamie Lovato. Kris Lemche guest-starred in the CSI episode “Sqweegel” during season eleven. Jarrod Crawford appeared in “See No Evil” during CSI: Miami’s ninth season.

“Civilized Lies” airs January 11 on CBS.
