Green Day Music Narrates Upcoming ‘CSI:NY’ Action Scenes
1 min readCSI Files previously reported that the fourth episode of CSI: New York’s ninth season would contain music from Green Day’s new album !UNO!, as well as the upcoming !DOS! and !TRÉ!. A series of songs will be used during action sequences without any accompanying dialogue. (Spoilers after the jump!)
The tracks “Stop When The Red Lights Flash,” “Amy,” “Night Life,” “The Forgotten” and “Kill The DJ” will be featured in the October 19 episode, in which Lindsay Messer (Anna Belknap) is injured during a political rally. “My ultimate goal was to tell a story without dialogue, and Green Day’s music and lyrics beautifully accompanied the visuals making it a very special episode,” Executive Producer Pam Veasey said in a press release.
“We were stoked when we found out CSI: NY wanted to use our music instead of dialogue to narrate the first few acts of the episode,” the members of Green Day said in the same release. “It’s the first time something like this has been done on the series, and we are blown away with what we’ve seen.”
