‘New York’ 9/11 Flashbacks Won’t Feature Every Team Member

1 min read

The season eight premiere of CSI: New York will take a look back at September 11th, but not every character will be shown in flashbacks during the episode. (Minor spoilers after the jump!)

As CSI Files previously reported, Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) will be shown interacting with his wife Claire (Jaime Ray Newman) in flashbacks during “Indelible”, and fans will get a glimpse of what some of the other characters were doing on that day as well. However, not everyone will get the flashback treatment. “Lindsay [Messer, Anna Belknap] was in Montana so her point of view was all through the television,” executive producer Pam Veasey told E! Online. “Adam [Ross, AJ Buckley] was in New York. But you don’t see his flashback. We chose just a few people in different places.”

One of the flashbacks in the premiere will feature Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo) and Don Flack (Eddie Cahill). According to About.com, this flashback will capture the moment these two met in front of the World Trade Center, and the events of 9/11 created a lifelong bond between them.

  1. What about Stella and Aiden? Both were working with Mac during the timescale in question this has been stated several times during the show. Whilst it makes sense that no mention is made of Lyndsay or Adam in the flashbacks it would be ridiculous not to mention insulting to the audiences intellegence not to at least mention Stella/Aiden in passing even if it’s to say they are off on a course somewhere. Stella was Mac’s partner not to mention best friend for over ten years he clearly tells the Greek Policeman that way back in the 5th series putting their first meeting well before 2001. In Aiden’s case he tells Stella that Aiden remembered a case they’d both worked on from 6 years earlier which is why she leaves bite marks on DJ Pratt’s arm when he kills her. This again puts Mac’s first encounter with Aiden well before 2001 and possibly before he’d met Stella. Therefore to do this storyline justice not to mentiom have some sort of credibility both Stella and Aiden’s presence needs to be felt Plus not for one nanosecond would anybody watching believe that Stella wouldn’t at the very least call Mac to see how he’s doing on the 10th anniversary of Claire’s death not even if she’d moved to the moon or the bottom of the ocean let alone New Orleans

  2. I watch some of it, was that barretta. I don,t know his real name. All I know I loved him back in the days!
