Helgenberger Looks Forward To ‘The Next Chapter’
1 min readThe past few years have been a time of transition for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s leading lady Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows). Two years ago, the actress experienced a period of personal upheaval: she turned 50, her son Hugh went to college, and she divorced her husband of nearly 20 years, Alan Rosenberg. During that time, CSI was a “real stabilizing force” for Helgenberger. These days, the actress is in a good place thanks to family, friends and her new boyfriend Alan Finkelstein.
With her personal life on an upswing, Helgenberger has contemplated leaving CSI after season eleven ends. “It will be one of the sadder days in my life when I leave,” Helgenberger told People magazine. Next season, she added, “We’re talking maybe [only] doing a few episodes.” That will leave her time to pursue other roles. “The older you get, the more comfortable you become with who you are and who you’re continuing to become,” she said. “I’m looking forward to the next chapter.”
