CBS Shifts ‘Blue Bloods’, ‘Defenders’
2 min readCBS makes more scheduling changes, giving CSI: New York two new lead-ins and trying Blue Bloods on a different night.
CSI Files previously reported that CBS is giving CSI: Miami a temporary timeslot change next month. Deadline.com now reports that the network is shifting more shows around as the midseason schedule gets underway. The Defenders currently airs Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT, and Blue Bloods airs after CSI: New York at 10:00pm ET/PT on Friday. Here are details about some of the CBS midseason scheduling changes:
- Blue Bloods will air on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT from January 19-February 9, 2011. (During this time, the Friday 10:00pm ET/PT timeslot will be filled with crime show repeats.) It will head back to Friday on February 11.
- After Blue Bloods returns to its usual timeslot, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior will debut on Wednesday, February 16 following Criminal Minds at 10:00pm ET/PT.
- Bounced from its usual timeslot by Blue Bloods and the Criminal Minds spinoff, freshman legal drama The Defenders will head to Friday night to serve as the lead-in for CSI: New York. The series finale of Medium will air Friday, January 21 at 8:00pm ET/PT. Defenders will take over the vacant timeslot starting February 4. The finale of Defenders’ shortened first season is tentatively scheduled to air Friday, March 11 at 8:00pm ET/PT.
- Following the season finale of Defenders, CBS will air the new midseason series Chaos on Friday at 8:00pm ET/PT starting April 1. The comedic drama about rogue CIA agents will lead into CSI: NY and Blue Bloods.
