Visions Haunt Natalia On ‘Miami’ This Week
2 min readThis week’s episode of CSI: Miami, “Sleepless in Miami”, finds Natalia Boa Vista (Eva La Rue) dealing with some freaky visions when she goes undercover. (Spoilers after the jump!)
Shawn Hatosy guest stars as a murder suspect, but the character doesn’t remember killing the victim. What he does remember are gruesome visions. “It’s a very different episode from what we normally do,” La Rue told TV Guide. “This opens up in Shawn’s [character’s] nightmare. Blood is all over the walls. You’re trying to figure out what’s going on.”
In order to discover the truth, Natalia goes undercover to visit the psychic (played by Beth Littleford) Shawn’s character blames for the murder. Unfortunately for Natalia, she gets dosed with the same drug that gave their suspect freaky visions. “The drug is a weed derivative, and erases your memory,” La Rue explained. “You hallucinate like crazy on it. One recurring theme is that you see a glowing orb for a face. So people become very faceless, and you either think they’re monsters, or they’re aliens. So I think that it’s my ex‑husband coming back to kill me.”
As fans can see in this sneak peek, Natalia’s hallucinations lead her to take aim at Horatio Caine (David Caruso) and Ryan Wolfe (Jonathan Togo). Firing at her coworkers puts her in a tricky situation, but luckily for Natalia, Horatio isn’t going to hold her actions against her. “Horatio, true to his spectacular form, keeps it quiet,” La Rue revealed. “But it can’t mean a big promotion any time soon for Natalia.”
