Ward Is ‘Having A Blast’ On ‘New York’
1 min readSela Ward (Jo Danville) is still getting used to her new role on CSI: New York. (Minor spoilers after the jump!)
Ward was a fan of the CSI franchise before she joined the New York cast, but the crime procedural is a far cry from her usual roles. Playing a CSI is a totally new experience for the actress. “I’m a little shell-shocked,” Ward told TV Guide. “But I’m having a blast trying to say things like ‘I heard he’s not a two-bit three-block dealer.’ It’s such a different lingo. I’m used to talking about making salads!”
Jo is “smart, principled and artsy,” Ward revealed, adding that “she’s a single mom who was with the FBI.” Jo’s daughter was adopted from a woman she put in jail. Ward said her character will have to deal with that at some point down the line: “That’s going to be an interesting storyline to explore.”
