‘Miami’ & ‘New York’ Answer Questions Of Love
1 min readLove is (not quite) in the air on CSI: New York, and the fate of a couple remains up in the air on CSI: Miami. (Spoilers after the jump!)
When Sela Ward joins the cast of New York this fall as former FBI agent Jo Danville, one thing fans won’t see is a romance between the newcomer and leading man Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise). Showrunner Pam Veasey told TVGuide.com that there are currently no plans for that type of relationship to blossom between the pair. However, Mac will be dealing with some professional woes when he butts heads with an NYPD official. The character will appear in a three-episode arc, starting with a sniper case where he and Mac disagree on how to deal with the media.
The fate of the romance between Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) and Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) seemed uncertain when Miami‘s eighth season came to a close. When season nine gets underway, fans can expect to see more of the same—at least for now. “There may be some new elements that threaten their future together,” explained co-executive producer Barry O’Brien. “You can look to Season 9 to clearly define their relationship, but we’re going to take them on quite a journey first.”
