CBS Releases Official Season Premiere Details
2 min readWith the new season only a month away, CBS has revealed more information about the premieres of all three CSI series. Details (and potential spoilers) after the jump!
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will be the first member of the franchise to get underway. The season eleven premiere, “Shock Waves”, airs on Thursday, September 23 at 9:00pm ET/PT. As CSI Files previously reported, the episode features the acting debut of teen singing sensation Justin Bieber:
Langston fights for his life after being stabbed by psychopath Nate Haskell, while the other CSIs attend a funeral that turns deadly. Teen sensation Justin Bieber guest stars as Jason McCann, a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother, a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs.
Writing duo David Weddle and Bradley Thompson penned “Shock Waves”, which was directed by Alec Smight. The episode features Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle), Marc Vann (Conrad Ecklie) and Alex Carter (Detective Vartann). Bill Irwin returns as the ‘Dick and Jane’ serial killer Nate Haskell. “Shock Waves” will introduce Sienna Guillory as explosives expert Kacey Monahan.
On Friday, September 24 at 9:00pm ET/PT, CSI: New York will debut in its new timeslot with “The 34th Floor”. The season seven premiere will welcome new leading lady Sela Ward (Jo Danville), who is filling the void left after the departure of Melina Kanakaredes (Stella Bonasera):
The newest member of the CSI team, Jo Danville, a former FBI agent, is welcomed to her new job by stumbling upon the body of a young woman murdered somewhere in the building that houses the NYPD Crime Lab.
Executive producer Pam Veasey wrote “The 34th Floor” with John Dove. The episode was directed by Duane Clark.
CSI: Miami will be the last member of the franchise to air its season premiere. Season nine gets started when “Fallen” airs in the series’ new timeslot on Sunday, October 3 at 10:00pm ET/PT:
The CSI team loses one of their own when a psychotic genius runs wild in Miami.
CSI Files previously revealed which member of the cast would lose his or her life in the premiere—you can find the information (major spoilers!) here. “Fallen” was directed by Sam Hill, and it was written by Tamara Jaron. Wes Ramsey (Dave Benton), Christian Clemenson (Dr Tom Loman) and Christopher Redman (Michael Travers) will all appear in the episode. Roger Bart and Kristen Hager were first seen in the season eight finale, “All Fall Down”, as Bob Starling and Melissa Walls.
