The ‘CSI’ Finale Wins Viewers, Loses In The Demo
1 min readThe second part of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation‘s season finale, “Meat Jekyll”, split leadership on Thursday, May 20. CSI had the highest viewers for the hour with 14.19 million people tuning in, and Grey’s Anatomy came in second place with 13.93 million viewers. In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Grey’s earned a significant lead over the competition with a 4.9 rating/14 share to beat CSI‘s 3.3/9. Rounding out the hour was NBC’s combination of The Office and 30 Rock, which pulled in an average of 6.03 million viewers and 3.1/9 in the hour for both season finales. Fringe‘s finale was fourth with 5.69 million and 2.1/6, and a repeat of Smallville on the CW took fifth place with 1.30 million viewers and 0.5/2.
