Brennan Steps Down As ‘NCIS:LA’ Showrunner, Gemmill Takes Over
1 min readNCIS: Los Angeles Executive Producer Shane Brennan is responsible for creating the series back in 2009, and he has served as the showrunner for the past seven seasons. Deadline reports that Brennan is stepping down from his showrunner duties, although he will remain an executive producer. Going forward, Brennan will focus on developing new projects as part of a new, two-year deal with CBS TV Studios.
According to Deadline, Brennan’s “No. 2”, R Scott Gemmill, will take over as showrunner on NCIS: LA. Gemmill has been an executive producer for the show since the start of season one, and he has written more than 30 episodes over the past seven seasons.
