NCIS: NOLA offered the twenty-second episode of season two at 9:00pm. “Help Wanted” was watched by 12.35 million viewers, with a 1.8/6 in the key demo (raised to 12.56 million when the final ratings were tallied, with no change in the demo). “Help Wanted” featured cameos from real life chefs John Besh, Susan Spicer, Leah Chase and Sue Zemanick. As Executive Producer Gary Glasberg told Parade:

We have been talking for a long time about wanting to take advantage of the backdrop of what New Orleans provides from a food standpoint. It is a huge part of what that city is. This was an opportunity to come up with a storyline — a crime — set against the backdrop of the kitchen of some of our restaurants there. We have renowned chefs appearing. We are constantly trying to expand as much as we can in representing the city appropriately. We’ve done a lot this season.

Messer also spoke to Parade about the introduction of Ivan Sergei as Homeland Security Agent John Russo. Russo worked with Meredith Brody (Zoe McLellan) in “Help Wanted”, and he will also appear in the final two episodes of season two. “So Ivan comes in with a terrific 3-episode arc that carries all the way to the end, and we are really excited to have him,” Messer explained. “Brody gets wrapped up in a personal relationship that snowballs and blossoms into much more.”

Here’s a performance from Gary Clark, Jr, who appeared in “Help Wanted”:
