Veasey & Danson Talk ‘CSI:Cyber’ Season 2, Plus More Set Pics & Videos
8 min readCSI: Cyber Executive Producer Pam Veasey spoke to TV Guide about what is in store for season two. At the end of the season one finale, “Family Secrets”, it was revealed that Daniel Krumitz’s (Charley Koontz) sister Francine (Angela Trimbur) shot Taylor Pettis (Deron Paul), the man who killed their parents. The new season picks up at the end of Francine’s trial, and the verdict will have an ongoing effect on her brother. “Krumitz makes a promise to her that will dictate how he behaves the rest of the season,” Veasey revealed.
Veasey also indicated that Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette) will work to rebuild her relationship with her ex-husband Andrew Michaels (Brent Sexton), although matters are complicated by the nightmares she’s experiencing due to the events from last season. Ryan will also have to deal with the addition of Ted Danson (DB Russell) to the team, as well as the departure of her boss, Simon Sifter (Peter MacNicol)—which offers her a chance to change her career path:
She has an opportunity to take his job, but it’s not something she quickly embraces. It means different things for her job. She sees that Sifter’s job involved a lot of dealing with the brass and the politics of cyber.
While promoting Fargo at the 2015 TV summer press tour, Danson spoke to Zap2It about joining the cast of Cyber following the series finale of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. “I love to work. I’m off to do CSI: Cyber and I’m really looking forward to it,” he said. “I get to work with Patricia and James [Van Der Beek] and Peter [MacNicol], a bunch of really interesting folks.”
Finally, check out this collection of 32 tweets and photos from the set, which have been shared over the past three weeks, followed by eight videos:
