CBS Considers The Fate Of ‘CSI’
1 min readWhen the fifteenth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation ended in February after 18 episodes, the future of the series was left up in the air, and there has been no word from CBS about whether the show will be renewed for the upcoming 2015-2016 season. Deadline reports that the network is considering options to bring CSI back for a final farewell, including an abbreviated season with as few as six episodes. However, this has not been confirmed, and there is a chance the show will be cancelled without any additional episodes. The fate of CSI might not be revealed until the CBS upfront presentation on Wednesday, May 13. This is the same day CSI: Cyber will air it’s two-hour season finale, which could end up being a series finale if CBS chooses not to renew the freshman spinoff.
Here is a tweet from former Supervising Producer David Rambo about the end of CSI:
#CSI deserves a proper finale, whenever that occurs. It created a new TV genre and made billions for CBS. https://t.co/cTricCjCBE
