Take A Peek At Tonight’s ‘Criminal Minds’
3 min readCriminal Minds has a new episode on the schedule tonight, and you can find sneak peeks, quotes, tweets and photos after the jump!
Here’s the first clip from “Lockdown”, featuring Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson) and David Rossi (Joe Mantegna). (It’s also available on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)
This second scene features Hotch, Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore), Kate Callahan (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Dr Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). (You can also watch it on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)
Gibson directed the episode, which marks his fourth time behind the camera. His most recent directing credit was for “Boxed In” earlier this season. Gibson spoke to Zap2It about the episode, and here’s a quote relating to the main shooting location:
That’s the old women’s prison here in Los Angeles … where all the Manson women were incarcerated. Those walls can definitely talk. It’s owned by the L.A. County Sheriff’s [Department] and they use it for storage or any film or television company that needs a local prison of a certain vintage. It was a perfect vintage for us, and it lent a real kind of creepy, dingy quality to our story, which was beneficial for sure.
The characters spend most of the episode inside the prison. As Gibson told TV Guide:
The whole idea [was] to feel like we were shut in with everybody for as long as it took to figure out what was going on. I wanted it to have the feeling that everybody was watching everybody else, and I think you definitely get that in a few places that benefits the story.
Gibson also did an interview with Examiner.com, and here’s a quote about directing:
Each of the ones that I’ve done have been very different from each other. There’s a particular challenge that each of these stories brings with it. And this is probably the biggest one that I’ve done as far as scope, and there are a whole bunch of deaths and a whole bunch of fights. I knew it was going to be big.
Finally, here are a few tweets and photos:
