The freshman series NCIS: New Orleans has done well in its post-NCIS timeslot, earning the show an early renewal alongside Scorpion and Madam Secretary. “These freshman dramas have each made a big impact on key nights of the week,” said CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler. “Creatively distinctive, the series are backed by strong showrunners with amazingly talented casts, and have resonated with a big, broad audience.”

You can find a collection of news, photos, tweets and spoilers relating to New Orleans, NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles after the jump, which have been shared over the past two weeks. (Contains 91 embedded tweets, photos and videos.)

As CSI Files previously reported, Criminal Minds, NCIS and NCIS: NOLA were up for People’s Choice Awards last Wednesday, but the shows and stars didn’t win in their various categories. However, NCIS: LA stars Daniela Ruah (Kensi Blye) and Eric Christian Olsen (Marty Deeks) attended the awards, along with former NCIS star Cote de Pablo (Ziva David). You can find a collection of photos below:

NCIS

Here’s a question from TV Line:

Got any scoop you can share about Abby’s boyfriend on NCIS? How long might this relationship last? –Robert

Showrunner Gary Glasberg told me that with the Sergei Michnev story heating back up as well as other fish to fry, “We step away from [Abby’s romance with Burt] for a little while” — though not for forever. “Everybody really likes having [Johann Urb] around, so I’m sure you’ll see him again,” Glasberg shares, adding: “It’s been nice to have everybody kind of in pleasant relationships!”

Mark Harmon (Leroy Jethro Gibbs) visited the Late Late Show last week with guest-host Drew Carey. You can watch the interview below (low volume):

While at the TCA Winter Press Tour on Monday to promote her upcoming CBS miniseries The Dovekeepers, de Pablo spoke about leaving NCIS. She said she had “no second thoughts” about her decision, and she’s happy with the choice she made. She also revealed that she would consider reprising her NCIS role “[u]nder the right circumstances”, although there are no current plans for her to return. Regarding the storyline that saw Ziva leave the team behind, de Pablo said:

I think it was rushed. I would have liked a little bit of closure. But I think all in all I could not be more blessed, because I got a chance to be with my ‘love,’ Michael [Weatherly, who plays Tony]. Any time you put Michael and I together there’s going to be a spark, and there’s going to be real honesty, and for that I am forever grateful. Because in that sense there was a sense of conclusion as far as what [the characters] felt for each other.

Speaking of The Dovekeepers, you can watch a promo for the miniseries below:

NCIS: LA

Eric Christian Olsen was a guest on the Late Late Show last night, and you can watch the full episode here (Olsen’s interview starts at 26:25, including a clip from Monday’s episode of NCIS: LA). Olsen’s segment is embedded below (low volume), followed by a photo of him with Julie Chen:

LL Cool J (Sam Hanna) will host an upcoming 10-episode series of Lip Sync Battle on Spike TV. The show will premiere on April 2, and here’s a comment from the actor:

Like the rest of the world, I’m a big fan of these battles, but this show is going to bring it to a whole new level. I’m thrilled to be working with Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski, Stephen Merchant, and the entire team to host the show and can’t wait for the fans at home to join in!!

NCIS: NOLA

Here’s a collection of tweets reacting to the show being picked up for a second season:

Stacy Keach has been cast as Dwayne Pride’s (Scott Bakula) father for an upcoming Mardi Gras-themed episode, which will air on February 17. “We’re doing parade stuff, and yes it will air on Fat Tuesday,” Glasberg said about the episode. “It’s a big, fun, action-packed story that we’re excited about, and I think the network is excited about it, too.”

If you’ve ever wondered about Dr Loretta Wade’s (CCH Pounder) headgear on New Orleans, NOLA.com revealed that some items were created by the show’s wardrobe department, while others were bought and dyed. According to costume designer Ann Walters, “When I first started the show, I knew I wanted to find something unique for her character, considering she spends most of her screen time in scrubs. And it was also practical. I wanted something that worked with her hair.”
