Take A Peek At Tonight’s ‘NCIS’ & ‘NCIS:NOLA’
6 min readNCIS and NCIS: New Orleans will air their fall finales tonight. You can find sneak peeks from the holiday-themed episodes after the jump, along with questions, quotes, tweets and photos!
Here’s the first sneak peek from the NCIS episode “House Rules”, featuring Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). (You can also find it on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)
This second clip features Gibbs, Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham). (It’s also available on CBS.com, CBS Press Express and SpoilerTV.)
The first sneak peek above showed McGee writing a letter to his father, and the episode will offer some insight into their “strained” relationship. As Murray told TV Guide, “He’s sort of estranged from his father, and part of him writing that letter, I think, is him getting out a lot of stuff he can’t necessarily say.”
Here’s a question from E! Online about tonight’s episode:
Annie S.: We never get any spoilers on NCIS. So not cool!
Consider this my early Christmas gift for you: “Our Christmas episode is coming up and it’s actually called House Rules and it’s kind of anchored and centered around my character,” Sean Murray says of the McGee-centric ep. “It’s got some surprise to it and some really good stuff in it and I can’t really divulge a lot of what it is because it’s got a bit of a twist to it.”
Executive Producer Gary Glasberg told TV Line that “House Rules” is an “entire episode about Gibbs’ Rules. The rules have become a big part of the show’s moral and professional compass, and who better than Tim McGee to guide us through the list.”
Murray spoke to TV Fanatic about the episode, and here’s an excerpt:
TVF: Is there some opportunity for the entire cast to be together? I know a lot of the time everyone is splintered off in the various parts of a story.
SM: I think we do. If not in the episode, we see all the cast together in an episode coming up really soon. We’re going to see a lot of people present and past in this Christmas episode. There’s a lot of reflecting on the past so we see some flashbacks with Ziva, Mike Franks, Jenny Shepard, stuff like that. Again, it’s not really a flashback episode but we see them in montages here and there as we applying talking about the rules and applying them to past situations and we see some of that but Ziva is not returning for the episode, for instance.
Regarding the flashbacks mentioned above, Glasberg told TV Line, “We used stuff all the way back to Season 2, I think. It’s amazing to go back and collect all these different clips, of everybody from Sasha [Alexander, as Special Agent Kate Todd] to Cote [de Pablo, as Ziva] to Michael [Weatherly, who plays DiNozzo] referring to the rules.”
“House Rules” is an episode for the fans, according to Murray. “The long-time fans, they’re really going to enjoy it, I think,” he told Zap2It. “That stuff means a lot and I like when we do it. We tend to keep the show serialized a little bit but I like when we have the stuff that really is revolving around characters and going a little deeper into them than we usually do.”

Question: Any intel on NCIS? —Marsha
Ausiello: The Dec. 16 holiday episode (which also doubles as the fall finale) marks the return of three notorious cyber terrorists: Former Systems Administrator Kevin Hussein (played by Ethan Rains), Heidi Partridge (Erin Allin O’Reilly) and
Lester PatelAjay Khan (Vik Sahay). In the wake of a city-wide Internet blackout the week before Christmas, the NCIS team pulls the trio out of prison to help with the case, and, whaddaya know, I’ve got an exclusive first look at their comeback below!

As much as I cringe at these overly sappy promos for the #NCIS Christmas episode, the bit about it being a letter to the fans is spot on.
— Christopher J. Waild (@ChrisWaild) December 15, 2014
I only say the promos are sappy because they don't ever mention that this episode is super fast, fun, and funny. My favorite since "Canary".
