NCIS: NOLA

TV Guide has exclusive first look photos from Dean Stockwell’s upcoming guest appearance on New Orleans. “Chasing Ghosts” airs November 25, and Stockwell will play Tom Hamilton, the father of Councilman Douglas Hamilton (Steven Weber). Here’s the episode synopsis:

After a stolen Navy-issued gun is found to belong to a Chief Petty Officer who died 40 years ago, the NCIS team reopens the cold case, one that Wade has personally tracked and investigated for years. Also, the team prepares for their annual Thanksgiving dinner together.

Take a look at this video about D’Wayne Swear, the real-life inspiration for NCIS: NOLA’s leading man Dwayne Pride:

NOLA.com did an article about the sets for the newest NCIS spinoff. “We tried to put as much thought into even the smallest elements of detail as we could,” said set decorator Tim Cohn. “While New Orleans is a great backdrop for the story, it’s still NCIS. It’s still a police unit with some sense of military bearing. So it couldn’t be Mardi Gras in the squad room, so to say. That was a note from the adults in charge.”

NCIS: LA

Here’s a question from TV Guide:

When is Callen going to get that new love interest on NCIS: LA? — Flo

Alas, it won’t be until later this season — but it sounds like it’ll be worth the wait. “What I do know about it is the woman is related to someone that has a connection to Callen’s past, someone that we’ve seen before in episodes,” Chris O’Donnell hints. “It’ll be fun to explore that part of Callen. He’s such a private guy and kind of a simple guy. … That personal relationship side of him we haven’t really explored that much.”

And check out this question from TV Line:

Question: OK, so, I’m in desperate need of NCIS: LA scoop. —Leah

Ausiello: The show’s Christmas episode — titled “Humbug” — will introduce us to Sam’s teenage son Isaac. Described as all-American and physically fit (chip off the old block!), Isaac is home for the holidays (on break from the military school he’s attending). Casting is underway!

Parry Shen (General Hospital) will guest star in the November 24 episode of NCIS: LA, titled “Traitor”. This marks his third appearance as computer tech Ty, after guest-starring in the season one episode “Missing” and season two’s “Stand-off”. According to the episode synopsis, “After Granger is poisoned by the mole and Eric is one of the seven suspects, Hetty orders a lockdown while everyone is investigated.” You can see a few photos from the episode here.

Be sure to check out this fan Q&A with Daniela Ruah (Kensi Blye) and Eric Christian Olsen (Marty Deeks). (You can also watch it on CBS.com.)

Ruah and Olsen also spoke to Entertainment Tonight earlier this month, and you can watch the video here.

LL Cool J (Sam Hanna) will host the CBS special A Very Grammy Christmas on Friday, December 5 at 9:00pm ET/PT.

LL Cool J is on the cover of the December issue of CBS Watch! magazine. You can read the interview here, and check out an excerpt below:

Let’s talk about the show a little. Did you ever foresee it going this long?
Absolutely not.

Even though you’re accustomed to success?
I was accustomed to a different kind of success—a success where I’m steering the ship. But with the show, I jumped on a tiger’s back. I’m just happy people are enjoying it, because I didn’t realize how much time it would take away from me being able to focus on my music.

Would you still do it all over again?
Definitely.

And here’s a photo and behind-the-scenes video from the shoot:

Olsen visited The Rich Eisen Show last week, and you can watch the interview below:

Here’s a list of 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me from O’Donnell, including this entry: “6. I have worn the same pair of Blundstone boots for every episode of NCIS: L.A. They are worn out, to say the least.”

NCIS

Jeri Ryan has been cast as Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ (Mark Harmon) fourth ex-wife, Rebecca, who will appear in a January episode. “After 12 seasons there was still one ex-wife to cast opposite Gibbs and we found her in the beautiful and talented Jeri Ryan,” Executive Producer Gary Glasberg said in a statement. “We’re all very excited to have Jeri join us for a storyline that’s chock full of surprises.”

TV Line shared the first photos of Jamie Bamber as Ellie Bishop’s (Emily Wickersham) husband Jake, an NSA attorney. The episode is titled “Grounded”, and it will air November 25. Bishop and her husband, along with Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), will be stuck at Washington Dulles International Airport due to bad weather. While there, the trio will “work an NCIS case involving an elevated terrorist threat at Northeast airports during the Thanksgiving travel surge.” Here’s one of the pictures from the article, which Wickersham tweeted several days ago:

Rocky Carroll (Leon Vance) will direct an upcoming episode. “I’m honored and humbled by this opportunity to make my directorial debut on NCIS,” Carroll told Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve always believed that my greatest strength as an actor, the thing that has been most important to my success, is my ability to collaborate with others. It has served me well as an actor and I’m going to rely very heavily on it as a director!”

Steve Harvey recently visited the set of NCIS, and he spoke to Harmon, Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto) and Sean Murray (Timothy McGee). Here’s the video:

Perrette was on Home & Family earlier this week to honor female veterans. You can find a photo below, and watch the video here:

Criminal Minds

Mandy Patinkin left Criminal Minds after the show’s second season, but his character, Jason Gideon, will return in the thirteenth episode of season ten. According to TV Guide, Ben Savage has been cast as the younger version of Gideon, who will appear in flashbacks from the 1970s. Robert Dunne played a young version of David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) in the season eight episode “The Fallen”, and he’ll reprise his role for these flashbacks as well. The episode was co-written by Executive Producer Erica Messer and actress Kirsten Vangsness (Penelope Garcia), and it is scheduled to air in January.

Here’s a question from TV Guide about the above casting:

I need more details about the young Gideon flashback on Criminal Minds! — Michael

We cannot confirm if Gideon and Rossi will sport bellbottoms and pornstaches in the ’70s, but we can confirm that the past case in question went unsolved because of the understaffed, newly established BAU. “They thought they had figured it out and were gonna catch the guy,” executive producer Erica Messer tells us. “But he went off-pattern, and they have to [move on], so it haunts them in present day.” As if Gideon needed another case to be tortured by, right?

This question is from TV Line:

Thank you for all the Criminal Minds scoops you bring! May I ask for another? Are there going to be any JJ/Garcia scenes in Season 10? I miss their friendship. –LittleKitten

I honestly cannot say for certain if/how Garcia figures into the storyline, but in Episode 11, “The Forever People,” JJ will deal with the PTSD resulting from her 200th episode abduction.

Also check out this question from TV Guide:

Any Criminal Minds scoop? — Greg

Bummed about Hotch and Beth’s breakup? Well, he might move on quickly. After Hotch tells Rossi that they split because of an overseas job opportunity, Rossi does his best to try to cheer him up. “He says that I’m gonna be his wingman at this jazz club because there’s someone he’s interested in,” Thomas Gibson tells us. “She comes along and she’s got a friend, so we’ll see! It definitely hints at something.”

Here’s an article from BuzzFeed, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the lighting for the latest episode, “Hashtag”.

Criminal Minds took home two California On Location Awards earlier this month, which “honor location professionals, production companies and public employees for excellence while working on location in the state of California.” The show’s awards were in the “Location Team of the Year Episodic Television, Full Season” and “Location Team of the Year Episodic Television, Single Episode” categories. Here’s a tweet from Co-Executive Producer Harry Bring:

Former Criminal Minds actress Paget Brewster (Emily Prentiss) has been cast as a series regular for the upcoming sixth season of Community. Check out this tweet from Brewster:
