3 min readWith several weeks left in the season, details are now available for the upcoming finales of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and Criminal Minds. (Spoilers after the jump!)
CSI will end its fourteenth season on Wednesday, May 7 with “Dead in His Tracks”. TV Guide posted a preview for the finale, and here’s the episode’s official description from CBS:
The CSIs investigate a present-day crime with ties to a mob heist that occurred 25 years ago. Meanwhile, Brass has a decision to make when his daughter attempts suicide.
As CSI Files previously reported, the show will say goodbye to original cast member Paul Guilfoyle (Jim Brass) during the finale, which brings back Teal Redmann as Brass’s daughter Ellie. Treat Williams will guest star as Sam Bishop, a criminalist who works with the team to solve the case.

NCIS will air the final episode of season eleven on Tuesday, May 13. The installment will deal with the passing of legendary actor Ralph Waite, who portrayed Jackson Gibbs, the father of Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), on the show. Waite’s death will be reflected on screen, and viewers will learn more about father and son in the episode. Here’s a quote from Executive Producer Gary Glasberg, from TV Guide:
This was such a significant event for us, both on-screen and off, that we wanted to handle it properly and do it well, and let people mourn the passing of Gibbs’ dad with him. It’s no secret that Season 11 had all kinds of challenges that came up, from Ziva’s departure to Bishop’s arrival, and then the New Orleans episodes. … We wanted to not necessarily do another cliff-hanger, but do something that informed our characters and brought our family and our team together.

Following the NCIS finale on May 13, NCIS: LA will end its fifth season at 9:00pm ET/PT. As Executive Producer Shane Brennan told TV Guide, the events of the season come to a head with an “out of control” episode. Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) and G Callen (Chris O’Donnell) find themselves in “extreme jeopardy”, and the relationship between Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) becomes strained when DEA Agent Talia Del Campo (Mercedes Masohn, “Fish Out of Water”) comes back into the picture. Meanwhile, Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) faces trouble for her decision to send Kensi to Afghanistan. Brennan revealed, “The White Ghost has come back to haunt [Hetty] in the finale, and in a very, very bad way.”

Finally, the ninth season of Criminal Minds will draw to a close on Wednesday, May 14. The episode will be the second half of a two-part storyline called “Angels” and “Demons”. Executive Producer Erica Messer promised TV Guide that fans could look forward to a “twisted” case. “We broke it as a movie, so it’s going to be action-packed from beginning to end,” she revealed, adding, “Someone might be in jeopardy.” Additionally, Messer teased that the episode might end in a cliffhanger.
