Mularz: We Can’t Stop Our Minds From Going There
1 min readNext week’s episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation finds the team searching for a killer with a forbidden appetite. (Spoilers after the jump!)
The next episode of CSI is called “Consumed”, and it deals with a grisly crime. “There’s something about cannibalism that is so taboo and forbidden and disgusting that we, as a culture, don’t want to think about it—but we can’t stop our minds from going there,” Supervising Producer Tom Mularz told TV Guide. Mularz wrote the episode, which “takes our CSIs into a very dark, shockingly thriving subculture of Las Vegas known as the vore world, where people fantasize about eating—or being eaten by—other living creatures.”
The killer in “Consumed” goes far beyond fantasizing, but catching this cannibal won’t be easy. “Our bogeyman killer is especially hard for the team to pin down,” Mularz said. “The episode doesn’t end with a typical CSI conclusion.”
