Here’s a question from TV Line:

Question: Is NCIS ending the season with a major cliffhanger? —Donna

Ausiello: As Matt Mitovich shared on Twitter the other day, there will be “no whiff of a cliff” — in part because the season will end with a solemn goodbye to Ralph Waite’s Jackson Gibbs, and not the Tony-centric episode which got moved to May 6. As show boss Gary Glasberg explains, “Because the season was as complicated as it was, we just didn’t feel like we needed to do a traditional cliffhanger. We wanted to ground everything and get things back to ‘normal.’”

TV Line also has a section about NCIS in its May Sweeps Scoopapalooza article. It includes information about the last three episodes of the season, including the final installment of season eleven. “We just didn’t feel like we needed a cliffhanger. Nothing’s left dangling,” Glasberg explained. “In Season 12, we’ll come out of the gate hot and go from there.”

And here’s the official synopsis for the May 13 finale, “Honor Thy Father” (from here):

The NCIS team investigates whether a fire on a U.S. Navy ship that served as a secret detention site for indicted terrorists was accidental or an intentional diversion for an escape. Meanwhile, Gibbs travels to his childhood home following news of his father’s passing.

You can also check out this question from TV Line about the relationship between Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) and Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman):

Was Delilah’s move to Dubai due to Margo Harshman not wanting to stay on NCIS, or was it part of their storyline? Some fans think it could be a way McGee could leave the show if Sean Murray doesn’t [re-sign]. –Robert

File this one under “Wait and See.” Show boss Gary Glasberg says the McGee/Delilah story won’t be revisited over these last few episodes, “but it wouldn’t surprise me if it comes back up in the earlier part of Season 12.”

Finally, here are some Tweets, including photos from the filming of the finale:
