NCIS: LA
Check out these three clips from the 100th episode, “Reznikov, N”, which airs next week—and don’t forget that the cast will visit The Talk to celebrate the milestone on October 15. (The clips are also available on SpoilerTV.)
LL Cool J (Sam Hanna) did an interview with Parade, and here’s an excerpt about the 100th episode:
It’s going to be very interesting. We’re going to learn some really dark and serious things about Callen’s past, and there’s also some other surprising and shocking things that will be happening in terms of cast changes, so people should be ready.
Here’s a question from TV Line:
Are we going to see NCIS: LA’s Nell and Eric venture out more in Season 5? –Cari
“There is always fun with those characters,” show boss Shane Brennan answers. “In fact, Nell’s out in the field a couple times this season, and at one point, later in the season, gets a serious moment or two out in the field. She gets to fire her weapon, in anger.”
There’s a new entry on the NCIS: LA Insider’s Blog.
LL Cool J will host the live Grammy Nominations Concert on Friday, December 6 from 10:00-11:00pm ET.
CSI Files previously reported that Daniela Ruah (Kensi Blye) is having a baby, but her pregnancy will not be written into the show. “I will definitely and utterly and totally rule that out,” Brennan told TV Line. “The pregnancy does not play into their storyline at all. Let’s put that thought/rumor/suggestion to rest.” (Read more about what’s coming up for Kensi and Marty Deeks [Eric Christian Olsen] at the link.)
Here are three pictures from Twitter (click to see them full-sized):
LL Cool J sat down with Katie Couric on October 8. You can watch a clip below, and check out a few more videos here:
NCIS
Here’s an extended promo for next week’s episode, “Anonymous was a Woman” (also available on CBS.com and SpoilerTV):
Executive Producer Gary Glasberg has signed a two-year extension deal with CBS, which lasts through May 2016. “I look forward to continuing to work with my NCIS family and can’t wait to dive in to what lies ahead,” he told Deadline.
Glasberg spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Cote de Pablo’s (Ziva David) exit, and he had this to say about Emily Wickersham’s upcoming character, Ellie Bishop:
What really made you want to write this character specifically as sort of a successor and as a new part of this team?
Well I don’t necessarily view her as a successor. The way we approached it was, how do we bring someone new into the fold? What could she bring to the group and to the party? Bishop is a NSA analyst, and she’s a thinker. She looks at the world in a very global way; she looks at everything, life, in a global way. That’s a big part of the way that our group is evolving. Our agents are evolving — they’re looking at terrorism in a different way, they’re having to approach crimes in a different way and I think that having that view of the world is something that our people don’t necessarily have much experience in. So I think she’ll provide something different. I think she’ll emotionally provide something different. Emily Wickersham is a terrific actress. I’ve now spent a bunch of time with her; I’m really excited about what she’s going to bring to this and how she’s going to bring the character to life. We’ll have some fun with it.
And here’s a question from TV Guide about Bishop:
What can you tell me about Ziva’s replacement on NCIS? — Julie
ADAM: There will be a bit of a revolving-door situation at Ziva’s old desk for the next few weeks, and viewers won’t get a look at who will most likely be the permanent new team member until November. Fortunately, when Emily Wickersham’s NSA Analyst Ellie Bishop finally does report for duty, she will make a strong first impression during the NCIS team’s hunt for terrorist Benham Parsa. “He is a new face that we haven’t seen before and has a new approach to things,” executive producer Gary Glasberg says of the season-long villain. “Bishop will actually have a strong view and position on [Parsa]. She’ll be bringing something extra to the table.”
Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto) and Meredith Eaton posted the following tweets, which confirm that Eaton will reprise her role as Carol Wilson this season:
