Tragedy Strikes The ‘CSI’ Family In The Season 14 Premiere
1 min readFollowing last season’s cliffhanger ending, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s fourteenth season will get off to a heartbreaking start. (Spoilers after the jump!)
CSI Files previously posted a sneak peek at the teaser for episode 14.01, “The Devil and DB Russell”, which indicates that there will be a funeral in the September 25 premiere. “A person close to the CSI family will die,” Executive Producer Don McGill told TV Guide. A look at the teaser shows that some characters are not in the first scene, including Morgan Brody (Elisabeth Harnois) and Jim Brass (Paul Guilfoyle), whose daughter Ellie (Teal Redmann) was missing at the end of the finale along with Morgan. McGill would not say who is in the casket, but he did reveal that boss DB Russell (Ted Danson) feels responsible for the death. “The decisions he made, he really will have to pay for,” McGill explained. “We’ll see as the season progresses that there may be some questioning of his purpose.”
