Sinise Considers New Projects & Continues To Support US Troops
1 min readGary Sinise (Mac Taylor) works hard to support the men and women in the United States military, and he created the Gary Sinise Foundation to “serve our Nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need.” Now that CSI: New York is over, Sinise is looking for work elsewhere, but his commitment to the military remains unchanged. “I’m considering other TV and film projects, but—no matter what I do next—the foundation will continue to be big part of my life,” the actor told the DCist. “It’s incredibly important to me to continue supporting our troops, and I’ll continue to raise awareness and show my gratitude for those who serve.”
For the eighth year in a row, Sinise will co-host the 2013 National Memorial Day Concert with Joe Mantegna (Criminal Minds) this Sunday, May 26. “Memorial Day is the perfect time for us to recognize, celebrate and honor the incredible sacrifices made by the men and women who serve and protect the U.S., and it’s important that the country comes together to continue to serve our veterans just as they have served us,” Sinise said. “I am co-hosting the National Memorial Day Concert again because it’s important to me that I pay tribute and honor our fallen soldiers, military service men, women and their families.”
