CSI airs a repeat this week, but CSI: NY returns from the winter hiatus with a new episode featuring a very unusual weapon. Official plot details and cast list can be found after the jump.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will air a repeat of “Play Dead” from earlier this season on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT. When a K-9 officer was blamed for the death of his partner, the team had to determine if the dog was at fault; also, Finn and Morgan investigated the murder of a high-profile divorce lawyer.

On Friday, CSI: New York returns from the winter haitus with “Command+P” at 9:00pm ET/PT:

The CSIs are confronted with a puzzling mystery when two different victims are linked by the same unusual weapon.

This is the first time Howard Deutch has directed an episode of CSI: NY. Co-Executive Producer Trey Callaway penned “Command+P”, which marks his eighteenth writing credit for the series; his previous credits include “2,918 Miles” from earlier this season.

The episode will feature the following guest stars:

  • Natalie Martinez as Det. Jamie Lovato
  • Stephen Snedden as Andy Lewis
  • Jeff Branson as Andy Stein
  • Daniel Amerman as Justin Vanderheyden
  • Tyson Turrou as Mauricio Flores
  • Nicole J. Butler as Rhonda Reynolds
  • Victoria Barabas as Reporter
  • Miranda Moore as Rachel Carpenter
  • Brandon Olive as Kevin Carpenter
  • Bill A. Jones as Richard Kemp
  • Roy Abramsohn as Male Reporter

Natalie Martinez is back as Detective Jamie Lovato. Jeff Branson previously appeared in the CSI: Miami episode “Blood Lust” during the show’s ninth season, and Tyson Turrou was in season one’s “Spring Break”. Roy Abramsohn guest-starred in the CSI episode “Tell-Tale Hearts” during season twelve.

The repeat of “Play Dead” and “Command+P” begin airing January 2 on CBS.
