EMS Chief Shares His Expertise With ‘CSI’ Researchers
1 min readFifty-one year old Jim Wilson is a chief of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in Florida, and in his free time he uses his knowledge to answer questions for the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation researchers. Over the past two years, he has collaborated with actor and researcher Jon Wellner (Henry Andrews) a dozen times. “Anything having to do with EMS or fire-rescue, odds are I had something to do with it,” Wilson explained to the Tampa Bay Times. He doesn’t get paid, but he enjoys seeing the final product. “Seeing how those creative people in Hollywood take a vague idea and turn it into something entertaining, it’s incredible,” Wilson said.
Wilson is one of Wellner’s top consultants. “His years of experience shows. He’s never let us down,” Wellner told the Times. He added that experts needs to be able to offer clear and simple explanations, and “any consultant that is willing to take time out of their real day to help our fake shows is always greatly appreciated.”
