‘Play Dead’ & ‘The Lady In The Lake’ Official Details

The franchise offers two new episodes this week, featuring a canine suspect and a murder in Central Park. Official plot details and cast lists can be found after the jump.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation goes to the dogs in “Play Dead” on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT:

When a K-9 is blamed for the death of his partner, the CSI team discovers there’s more to the case. Meanwhile, Finlay and Morgan investigate the death of a high-profile divorce lawyer with a lot of enemies.

This is the first time Eagle Egilsson has directed CSI, but he previously helmed eight episodes of CSI: Miami. Writing duo and Co-Executive Producers Treena Hancock and Melissa Byer penned “Play Dead”, which marks their seventh credit for the series; their most recent episode was “Altered Stakes” from season twelve.

Larry Mitchell is back as Officer Mitchell. Michael Bunin previously guest-starred in “Revenge is Best Served Cold” during season three, and James Hyde was in season four’s “Early Rollout”. Brianne Davis has appeared on CSI (“Built to Kill, Part 2”) and Miami (“Cyber-Lebrity”). David S. Lee was in the Miami episode “Sunblock” during the show’s sixth season, and Johanna Braddy appeared in “Wheels Up” during season nine. Tauvia Dawn guest-starred in the CSI: New York episode “Hush” during the first season. The other actors are new to the franchise.

On Friday, CSI: New York separates fantasy from reality in “The Lady in the Lake” at 9:00pm ET/PT:

The CSIs investigate a twisted fairy tale when a woman in a ball gown is found at the bottom of the pond outside Belvedere Castle in Central Park.

This is the fifth directing credit for Scott White, who previously helmed last season’s “Get Me Out Of Here!” Supervising Producer David Hoselton penned “The Lady in the Lake”, which marks his first writing credit for the series.
