Danson Won’t Watch Himself On ‘CSI’
1 min readTed Danson joined the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation at the start of the crime drama’s twelfth season, and his character DB Russell is still evolving. “It’s always funny to talk about a TV series because it’s like a mosaic; you don’t have a beginning, middle and an end like film scripts or plays,” the actor told the Coventry Telegraph. So far, viewers have learned that DB is a “family man” who can balance his work life and home life, and his job is to “manage and mentor” the rest of the talented CSI team.
Danson plans to remain on CSI for a while, but he doesn’t watch the series. “There’s about a seven-year lag time before I can watch something I’m in,” he revealed. “I love actually working. I don’t judge myself; I have a ball, I think I’m [Laurence] Olivier, and then I watch it and I’m so destructively judgemental. I’ve actually learned not to watch it, so truthfully I haven’t seen any CSI.”
