Mendelsohn: She Sees A Door To A New Life
1 min readTonight’s episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, “Ms Willows Regrets”, marks the second-to-last episode for Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows). Executive Producers Carol Mendelsohn and Don McGill offered some insight into the character’s upcoming exit. (Spoilers after the jump!)
The episode continues the case first introduced in “Zippered”, and working with the FBI reminds Catherine that she is a talented investigator. “I think Catherine is looking at the next job,” Mendelsohn told TV Guide. “As a woman, Catherine feels she’s hit a glass ceiling at CSI. It’s something that’s been weighing on her, and she sees a door to a new life.” McGill added that Helgenberger could return at some point in the future: “There’s always an open door.”
