‘CSI’ Starts A New Journey With A Character From DB’s Past
1 min readAs CSI Files previously reported, Elisabeth Shue will be joining the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in February after the departure of leading lady Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows). Executive Producer Carol Mendelsohn said that, while it is “difficult to say goodbye to a beloved character” like Catherine, “it’s exciting to start a journey” with a new member of the team. Executive Producer Don McGill added that Shue’s character “will share a past, in another crime lab, with Ted Danson’s character (DB Russell).” He continued, “The first time things didn’t go so well between the two of them. Maybe the second time’s the charm, or not.” According to Mendelsohn, the newest member of the team “struggles with ‘brutal honesty issues’ and suffers no fools.”
