’73 Seconds’, ‘Indelible’ & ‘Countermeasures’ Official Details

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation gets things going in its new timeslot on Wednesday at 10:00pm ET/PT with “73 Seconds”, and the team gets a new leader:
Multiple shootings and stabbings on a public tram leave the CSI team with one witness and a lot of questions.
Alec Smight has directed 21 previous episodes of CSI, most recently “Cello and Goodbye” during season eleven. This is the first writing credit for Gavin Harris.
The premiere will feature the following guest stars:

Larry Mitchell and Marc Vann are reprising established recurring roles. Chad Faust has appeared on CSI: Miami (“Backstabbers”) and CSI: New York (“The Cost of Living”). Clay Wilcox has also been on both spinoffs (“The Dove Commission” on New York and Miami’s “Deadline”). Stephen Amell was in the Miami episode “Sleepless in Miami” during the show’s ninth season. Nathan Anderson guest-starred on New York in season six’s “Battle Scars”. The other actors are new to the franchise.
On Friday, “Indelible” honors the memory of a tragic day for CSI: New York at 9:00pm ET/PT:
On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Mac and the team remember specific moments from that day that were indelibly burned in their mind.
Director Frederick E. O. Toye has two previous credits for CSI: NY, most recently last season’s “Vigilante”. Executive Producer Zachary Reiter and Supervising Producer John Dove co-wrote “Indelible”. Reiter has 23 credits, including last season’s finale, “Exit Strategy”. This is the fifteenth episode penned by Dove, whose latest credit is for season seven’s “Nothing For Something”.

Jaime Ray Newman appeared in two episodes of CSI, most recently “A Space Oddity” during season nine. Cassidy Freeman guest-starred in “Coup de Grace” during season ten of CSI. Bug Hall has previously appeared on both CSI (“Viva Las Vegas”) and Miami (“High Octane”).
CSI: Miami rounds out the week with “Countermeasures” on Sunday at 10:00pm ET/PT, and the fate of two CSIs will be revealed:
Horatio and Natalia’s lives hang in the balance, as Horatio stands between Natalia and certain death. Meanwhile, it’s a race against time for the team to capture escaped killer Jack Toller before he kills again.
Director Sam Hill has helmed 31 episodes of Miami, most recently the season nine finale, “Mayday”. “Countermeasures” was penned by Executive Producers Marc Dube and Barry O’Brien. Dube has 30 writing credits, and O’Brien has 20. The most recent episode for both men is “Mayday”.

Natasha Henstridge, Callum Keith Rennie, Ethan Embry and Mark Hengst are all returning as characters first introduced in “Mayday”. Alana De La Garza is back as Horatio’s late wife (and Eric’s sister) Marisol, who was last seen in “One of Our Own” during season four. Will Rothhaar has appeared on CSI twice, most recently in season ten’s “World’s End”.
“73 Seconds”, “Indelible” and “Countermeasures” begin airing September 21 on CBS.
