‘CSI’ Gets A New Leader & The Newest CSI Reconnects With Her Dad

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will be adding Ted Danson (DB Russell) and Elisabeth Harnois (Morgan Brody) to the cast during the show’s twelfth season, but their addition to the team won’t come without some tension. (Spoilers after the jump!)

According to Ausiello, Danson’s character will definitely be in charge of the Las Vegas Crime Lab when season 12 gets underway. Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) isn’t happy about being demoted, and she blames Nick Stokes (George Eads) for the way he handled the Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin) situation.

Harnois was first seen in “Cello and Goodbye”, the penultimate episode of season 11, where it was revealed that Morgan was the estranged daughter of Undersheriff Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann). Things between father and daughter are strained when she heads to Las Vegas to join the Crime Lab. “He’s a better man now… but years ago he wasn’t as good a father,” executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told TV Guide. “It’s very hard for her to see that he’s a changed man.”
