Conserva Works Behind The Scenes To Make ‘CSI’ Great
1 min readCo-producer Philip Conserva served as an associate producer for the pilot episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and he’ll still be with the crime drama when it returns for its twelfth season this fall. These days, Conserva spends most of his time working in post-production. “It’s getting it to the lab, getting to the editor to getting it on the air,” he explained to MassLive.com. “There’s video assembly and color correction, visual effects, finalizing the picture and the sound. It’s a lot of fun because what post-production is about is making it look and sound great.”
“We raised the bar from what the television production and experience was,” Conserva added, and he’s proud to have been a part of the CSI team since the show’s inception. “We put more of a cinema look and sound to the show. We were producing mini-movies, not so much producing TV episodes.”
