‘Unleashed’, ‘Food For Thought’ & ‘Caged’ Official Details

The franchise offers three brand new episodes this week, featuring the return of Lady Heather, an explosive food festival and the search for another escapee. Official plot details and cast lists can be found after the jump.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation starts the week with the return of a familiar face in “Unleashed” on Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT:

Langston and Sara turn to Lady Heather for help in tracking down the culprit responsible for injuring a woman before she was seemingly mauled to death by a mountain lion. Meanwhile, Nick and Dr. Robbins manage to rescue the unborn baby of a teenage girl who appears to have committed suicide.

Brad Tanenbaum directed nine previous episodes of CSI, most recently “A Kiss Before Frying” from earlier this season. This is the first writing credit for Ed Whitmore, who co-wrote “Unleashed” with CSI creator Anthony Zuiker.

The episode will feature the following guest stars:

  • Archie Kao as Archie Johnson
  • Marc Vann as Conrad Ecklie
  • Melinda Clarke as Lady Heather/Dr. Kessler


Archie Kao and Marc Vann are reprising established recurring roles. Melinda Clarke was last seen in season nine’s “Leave Out All the Rest”.

CSI: New York starts with a bang on Friday at 9:00pm ET/PT with “Food For Thought”:

The team enters the competitive world of gourmet food trucks when one explodes at a SoHo food festival while Hawkes is there with his girlfriend.

Director Oz Scott has helmed eight episodes of CSI: NY, most recently season five’s “The Party’s Over”. Co-executive producer Trey Callaway has 13 writing credits, including “Shop Till You Drop” from earlier this season.

Lesley-Ann Brandt guest-starred in “Smooth Criminal” earlier this year. Tyler Kain has appeared on CSI (“A La Cart”) and CSI: Miami (“Nothing to Lose”). Anthony Azizi was in the Miami episode “Just Murdered” during the show’s fifth season. Lance Irwin guest-starred in “Young Man with a Horn” during the ninth season of CSI.

CSI: Miami searches for another escaped convict in “Caged” on Sunday at 10:00pm ET/PT:

Horatio protects a mixed martial arts fighter from his brother who recently escaped prison.

Larry Detwiler directed three previous episodes of Miami, most recently “Spring Breakdown” during season eight. Tamara Jaron and K David Bena co-wrote “Caged”. Jaron has nine credits for the series, including “Stoned Cold” earlier this year. This is Bena’s third time writing for Miami, and his most recent credit is for this season’s “FTF”. The other actors are new to the franchise.

Christian Clemenson and Leven Rambin are reprising established roles in the lab. Rich Eisen guest-starred in “Deep Freeze” during season six. Heather Mazur was in two episodes of New York (“Comes Around” and “Enough”), Chad Michael Collins was in “Damned if You Do” earlier this season, Erin Cardillo was in season five’s “The Box” and Christopher Bello was in the season four episode “Playing with Matches”.

“Unleashed”, “Food For Thought” and “Caged” begin airing April 7 on CBS.
