‘New York’ Viewers Are Up, But The Demo Is Down

1 min read

The latest episode of CSI: New York, “Smooth Criminal”, earned the top spot on Friday, February 11. The series pulled in 9.66 million viewers, which marks the highest numbers so far in 2011. This put New York ahead of the first hour of Dateline (5.66 million), the first hour of 20/20 (5.26 million), Fringe (3.71 million) and Supernatural (1.96 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, CSI: NY earned a 1.5 rating/5 share. In contrast to the overall viewers this week, this score marks a series low for the crime drama. Despite the low demo, New York was ahead of the competition. Dateline and Fringe tied for second with 1.4/5, 20/20 earned 1.3/5, and Supernatural came last with 0.9/3.
