‘Holding Cell’ & ‘Wheels Up’ Official Details

Two members of the franchise will air new episodes this week featuring a case with international connections and roller derby gone wrong. Official plot details and cast lists after the jump.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will air a repeat of this season’s “Pool Shark” on Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT. The team was on the case after a woman was attacked by a shark in a Las Vegas casino ‘day club’ pool.

On Friday, CSI: New York has an international case on their hands in “Holding Cell” at 9:00pm ET/PT:

When a Spanish club promoter is found dead, Mac must battle with the head of Barcelona’s crime lab to solve the case.

Scott White directed “Dead Reckoning” last season. Bill Haynes has 11 previous writing credits for the series, including “Hide Sight” earlier this season.

Jsu Garcia appeared in the CSI: Miami episode “Fade Out” during the show’s forth season. Karina Lombard was on CSI in season eight’s “A La Cart”. The other actors are new to the franchise.

CSI: Miami rounds things out on Sunday at 10:00pm ET/PT, and the team discovers that murder is a contact sport in “Wheels Up”:

When the CSIs investigate a murder at a roller derby match, the only thing shorter than the girls’ skirts are their tempers.

Director Sam Hill helmed 28 previous episodes of Miami, most recently this season’s “Happy Birthday”. Writing duo Corey Evett and Matt Partney have penned 12 episodes of the series, including season eight’s “Time Bomb”.

Christian Clemenson, Christopher Redman and Wes Ramsey are reprising established recurring roles. Desiree Hall played the same character in last season’s “Hostile Takeover”. Hayley Marie Norman was in the CSI: NY episode “Shop Till You Drop” earlier this season. Lindsay Pulsipher has appeared on New York (“Down the Rabbit Hole”) and CSI (“Shock Waves”).

The repeat of “Pool Shark”, “Holding Cell” and “Wheels Up” begin airing January 13 on CBS.
