CSI: Crime Scene Investigation delves into a shocking case in “A Kiss Before Frying” on Thursday at 9:00pm ET/PT:
The CSIs link a body with severe burn marks to possible execution by electric chair—and to a legendary Vegas murder. Meanwhile, Greg asks out Ellen, a pretty schoolteacher and forensics enthusiast who has been touring the crime lab. Burlesque artist Dita Von Teese guest stars as Greg’s new love interest, Ellen.
Director Brad Tanenbaum has eight episodes of CSI under his belt, including “Blood Moon” from earlier this season. Evan Dunsky penned the episode, which marks his twelfth time writing for the series. His most recent credit is for the season ten finale, “Meat Jekyll”.
The episode will feature the following guest stars:
- Archie Kao as Archie Johnson
- Jon Wellner as Henry Andrews
- Dita Von Teese as Ellen Whitebridge
- Andrew Howard as Johannes Desmoot
- Jefferey D. Stevens as Paramedic
- Jim Pirri as Roderick Hammerbacher
- Dita Von Teese as Agnes
- Michael Adam Hamilton as Boris Kuchko
- Kathleen M. Darcy as Nice Lady on Tour
- Charles Hutchins as Elderly Man on Tour
- Steven J. Oliver as Bartender
- Tim Aslin as Young Uni
Archie Kao and Jon Wellner are reprising established recurring roles. Key set medic Jefferey D Stevens played a paramedic in seven previous episodes, most recently the season premiere “Shock Waves”. Jim Pirri previously appeared on CSI: New York (“Blood, Sweat and Tears”) and CSI: Miami (“Presumed Guilty”). Michael Adam Hamilton was in the season six Miami episode “Cyber-lebrity”. Charles Hutchins guest-starred in “Officer Blue” during New York’s first season.
On Friday, CSI: New York will air back-to-back repeats from 9:00-11:00pm ET/PT. The season seven premiere “The 34th Floor” will air in the show’s usual timeslot, followed by “Unfriendly Chat”. The premiere introduced newcomer Jo Danville, and the team investigated the death of a young woman whose body was found in the crime lab after she was stabbed on a different floor of the same building. In the second episode of the season, Adam saw a woman being strangled during a live online chat, and the team had to locate the crime scene to discover if he witnessed a murder.
CSI: Miami will not air on Sunday. Hawaii Five-0 will take the 10:00pm ET/PT timeslot following the AFC Championship game.
“A Kiss Before Frying” and the repeats of “The 34th Floor” and “Unfriendly Chat” begin airing January 20 on CBS.
