Death & Danger Are On The Way For The ‘CSI’ Team
2 min readCSI: Crime Scene Investigation executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Don McGill offered a few tidbits about what fans can expect when the series returns in 2011. (Spoilers after the jump!)
CSI Files previously reported that burlesque artist Dita Von Teese would appear in an upcoming episode as a femme fatale who gets close to Greg Sanders (Eric Szmanda). Mendelsohn and McGill told Entertainment Weekly that Dita’s character has a “dark secret” that could put the CSI team and Greg’s life in danger during the January episode. Fans can also look for “something about Greg’s first kiss and maybe something more,” the executive producers revealed.
Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber, who first appeared as troubled teenager Jason McCann in the season eleven premiere, “Shock Waves”, will be back in February. Nick Stokes (George Eads) will try to save Jason, and he winds up “putting himself and the team in jeopardy” in the process, Mendelsohn and McGill said. When the team faces off against the radical militia group Jason is involved with, the group will use the opportunity to “spring the perfect ‘mouse-trap,’ claiming at least one victim and leaving another fighting for their life.”
In other casting news, Mendelsohn and McGill denied a rumour that Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) would only appear in 11 episodes this season. They’re still negotiating how many times the actress will appear on CSI this season, but the executive producers assured fans that she would be in more than 11 episodes.
