‘New York’ Ratings Drop, Still Takes The Top Spot

1 min read

The second episode of CSI: New York’s seventh season was down more than half a million viewers from the season premiere. “Unfriendly Chat” pulled in 9.67 million viewers in the 9:00pm hour on Friday, October 1. Despite the drop from last week, New York still came out ahead of the second half of a two-hour Dateline (6.70 million), a repeat of No Ordinary Family (4.14 million), The Good Guys (2.51 million) and Supernatural (2.35 million).

CSI: NY was also down in the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, but the 1.7 rating/6 share was enough to win the timeslot this week. Dateline (1.5/5), No Ordinary Family (1.3/5), Supernatural (1.0/4) and The Good Guys (0.7/3) rounded out the hour. New York’s new Big Apple-based lead-out Blue Bloods was also down from week to week, but its 11.21 million viewers and 2.0/7 in the key demo was enough to make it the most watched show of the night.
