‘CSI’ Takes First In Viewers, Third In The Key Demo

The second episode of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’s eleventh season, “Pool Shark”, earned the top spot in total viewers on Thursday, September 30. The episode was watched by 13.32 million people, putting it ahead of Grey’s Anatomy (12.23 million), NBC’s combination of The Office (7.30 million) and Outsourced (5.80 million), Fringe (5.40 million) and the CW’s Nikita (2.74 million). In the key 18-49 demographic prized by advertisers, Grey’s came out on top with a 4.4 rating/12 share in the 9:00pm hour. NBC had an average of 3.3/9 for the hour, which earned it second place ahead of CSI’s 3.0/8. Fringe (1.9/5) and Nikita (1.0/3) came in fourth and fifth, respectively.
